We will visit Howard Street Charter School (a middle school) in Salem on Friday, April 7. We will meet in our classroom at 9:30 am and leave for the school by van at about 9:50. We will return no later than noon. The school is about a 5
minute drive from TIUA.
We will actually "teach" from 10:25 to 11:30.
Make sure you have everything you need!
Don't bring anything you don't need; leave backpacks etc. in the classroom. I'll lock it.
Every child should be busy all the time; if a child isn't participating or wanders off, do something!
Control the children; do not let them run around or misbehave.
Talk to the children; ask them questions; learn from them.
Clothing
Make sure the writing on your T-shirts is appropriate for children.
