Meeting Willamette's Conversational Japanese Class on Friday, February 23, at 9:10 in room 144 or 145

Purposes of this activity

• To practice using what you have learned in Listening and Speaking
• To help Willamette students who are learning Japanese

Procedure

• You will be in groups with one TIUA student and one or two WU students.
• Divide your time so that you speak Japanese for about 25 minutes and English for about 25 minutes. Try not to mix the languages.
• We will meet four more times with this Willamette class

Hints

• Relax; this is a conversation not an interview
• Look at your partner not at the desk. The focus should be listening and speaking, not writing. Make sure everyone in the group is included in the conversation.

Use these and similar phrases when appropriate!

• Hello. I'm _________________________ . Nice to meet you. (If you don't know someone.)
• Hi, nice to see you again! (If you know someone.)
• I remember you, but could you say your name again for me, please. (You recognize someone, but you can't remember his or her name.)
