Dialogue 1

Student: Hi JoAnn (or Molly or Richard)

JoAnn: Hi. Can I help you?

Student: I received an e-mail message saying I have a package.

JoAnn: Great! First let's look in room 225. Please tell me your name.

Student: My name's __________.

(JoAnn looks)

JoAnn: Here it is!

Student: Thank you very much!

Dialogue 2

Student: Hi JoAnn (or Molly or Richard)

JoAnn: Hi. Can I help you?

Student: I received an e-mail message saying I have a package.

JoAnn: Great! First let's look in room 225. Please tell me your name.

Student: My name's __________.

(JoAnn looks)

JoAnn: It's not in there. Let's look very quickly in room 229.

(looks)

JoAnn: Yes, here it is!

Student: Thank you very much!

Dialogue 3

Student: Hi JoAnn (or Molly or Richard)

JoAnn: Hi. Can I help you?

Student: I received an e-mail message saying I have a package.

JoAnn: Great! First let's look in room 225. Please tell me your name.

Student: My name's __________.

(JoAnn looks)

JoAnn: It's not in there. Let's look very quickly in room 229.

(looks)

JoAnn I'm sorry, there isn't a package for you. Did you actually receive an e-mail telling you the package arrived, or did friends or family tell you they sent you a package.

Student: My parents told me on the phone that they sent a package

JoAnn: Okay, well it hasn't arrived yet, and you'll know it's arrived when you receive an e-mail from Anna, Megan or Tammy. Then come back to my desk, okay?

Student: I understand Thank you. Bye.
