Student: Hello
Tomodachi host: Hello. How are you doing?
S: I'm okay, but I'm a little tired. How are you and your family?
T: We're fine. Thanks. ... I'm calling to see if you can come to dinner on Sunday about six.
S: Hmm .. I would really like to, but I'm volunteering at the World Beat Festival Sunday afternoon, and then I'll have homework to do for classes on Monday. I had a good time at your home last time, and I would like to come again sometime, if it's possible on a different day.
T: I understand. How about the following Sunday, July 2.
S: Oh ... I'm so sorry, but I'm leaving that day for Seattle. I'll be back July 15. After that, I'm free on Sundays.
T: How about if I call you after July 15, and we'll find a time.
S: That's great. Thank you for the invitation. I'll see you after July 15.
T: Good luck on your finals and have fun in Seattle.
S: Thanks. Bye.
T: Bye bye.
