On Monday, November 24, we will have a couple of guests (I hope!). The
purpose is for you (a) to use your improved pronunciation, (b) to
practice listening to English, and (c) to learn about Thanksgiving.
Write four questions about the Thanksgiving holiday.
- Make sure you know how to say each word. Use your dictionary. Ask
if still need help.
- Put a black dot above the stressed syllables in the sentence
- Write [d] over any /t/s that are pronounced [d]
- Write [z] over any /s/s that are pronounced [z]
- Make sure you know how to pronounce the /ed/, /s/ and /es/
endings. Write the pronunciation.
- Underline linked sounds
- Mark the intonation at the end of the sentence

Tell about one Japanese holiday, or
tell about your hometown, or
tell about your family. Bring photos, drawing, or anything
to help explain. You can use something you taught
in another class, at day camp, or elsewhere. However, you only have about five
minutes.
