Assignment (due Friday November 12)

First

Write an interesting 2 to 5 minute story about one of these topics. Try to answer the questions "who? what? when? where? and why? in any logical order.

• The best experience you've had since the end of spring semester. (Example: What happened? How did it happen? When did it happen? Who were you with? Where were you? Why was it the best?)
• The best experience you had when you were growing up in Japan (or Ecuador).
• The kind of experience or experiences you would recommend to prepare a person for life as an adult in Japan (or Ecuador).

Then

• Have me or another native speaker check your grammar and explain your errors
• Mark the rhythm groups with slashes. Example: He met us on Thursday / in the Bistro. or He met us / on Thursday / in the Bistro.
• Look up any words you don't know how to pronounce.
• Put a black dot over the stressed syllables.
• Mark the links between words (the rules we have learned). Example: He met us on Thursday / in the Bistro.
