Procedure
- The first 50 minutes of class you will have a written and listening exam.
- The morning speaking exam will be done in small groups as assigned below.

- The afternoon speaking exam will be done in small groups as assigned
below.

The speaking exam will be in my office, 209. There will
be three parts.
- Read from House on Mango Street, pages 14 - 16 ("Our Good Day")
- Tell me about one experience you've had since arriving in Salem (two minute
time limit)
- Choose one of these topics to discuss as a group:
- What characteristics do successful TIUA students or successful language
learners have?
- What should the United States and the world do to prevent future terrorist
attacks?
- House on Mango Street
