War and Peace, the Media, and Conditional Sentences

"The Media" = the communications industry = radio, newspapers, magazines, television

1. What obligation does the media have to represent both sides of a war (two or more viewpoints?)

2. Should there be national laws that require that the media report fairly both sides of an issue?

3. What are your information sources for the war in Iraq? Are they reporting "both sides" of American or world opinion? Are they reporting Iraqi views?

4. Is public opinion determined almost entirely by the media? What other sources of information are there?
