(Profs. Tabet, Seibert and students)
Wear your seatbelt in the van. It’s Oregon law and may save your life.
Do not bring valuables or items you don’t need. (TIUA will pay for dinner.)
Bring a raincoat, a warm jacket, and study shoes. It’s colder at Silver Falls than it is Salem and you will get wet under the waterfalls.
Do not get lost! Do not walk alone. Silver Falls Park is the largest park in Oregon and there are few signs. There are bears and mountain lions that like to eat juicy TIUA students.
Do not fall in the water. Don’t joke around or play around near the water. The water is cold and fast. People die here.
Do not leave paper and cigarette butts on the ground. Do not pick flowers. Do not smoke.
Don’t be too noisy
if other people are nearby. Many
visitors come here for the peaceful environment.
Watch the time. Be ready to leave at 4:00. It’s a long walk
back to Salem if you miss the vans.
