List four controversial opinions you have and would want to discuss. I'll help you choose one or two of these opinions to use on Friday and help you create support for your opinion.

Don't be too general! (Too general: In my opinion, war is bad.)

Opinions:

• Example: It seems to me that governments are not doing enough to slow global warming.
• Example: As far as I'm concerned, the United States invasion of Iraq has increased, not decreased, the chance of more terrorism in the U.S.
• Example: I feel that the best way to learn a language is to simply talk with friends; classes do not help.
