Brief Course Description

Two hundred years ago Native Americans lived on the land we now call Oregon. In the year 2000,, we find over 3 million Oregonians whose families came from all over the world. Who came to Oregon and why? What happened to the original people of Oregon? In this course, discover the answers to these questions as you improve your English. Class activities include reading pioneer diaries, interviewing immigrants and doing research on the internet. Additionally, students take several field trips, including an excursion to a Oregon town strongly influenced by Mexican culture.
