Sustainability Project:
Poster Presentations

Poster Preparation:
Prepare a poster with your group on sustainability.  Your goal is to illustrate the Japanese viewpoint and actions regarding sustainability and how they are similar or different from the American viewpoint.  Each poster should include the following information:

Title: Category (Environment, Education, Equity or Economics)
Definitions
Cartoon
Cartoon reaction quotations
Paragraphs on interviews, research, etc.
Graphics, pictures.
References of any cartoon, internet research, photos, etc.
Group member names
Interview results, summaries, paragraph assignments.

Prepare a practice poster design on newsprint and ask a professor to check your spelling, grammar, design and content information before pasting or writing anything on the posterboard.

Presentations:
Practice talking about your poster with your group.  Divide the topics into four areas and each group member will be responsible for talking about one area.  Each person should plan to talk for 3-5 minutes. Discuss your plan with a professor. Memorize your part.

Practice presentation: Give your group presentation to the visiting South High School students on when they visit TIUA.

WU Sustainability Workshop: Give your presentation in groups as guests walk around looking at the posters.  Be ready to repeat your presentation many times.  Make time to answer questions and have conversations with the guests after each person speaks.

Your classmates will listen to your presentations and evaluate your speeches and posters using rubrics.
