                Kurt Cobain (1967-1994)
                                        was the leader of Nirvana.

Kurt's Favorite Music

Beatles and Monkees as a kid, Led Zeppelin and Kiss as a teen,
Sex Pistols and Black Flag in his 20s. But probably no one influenced him

more than the member of the Melvins, whom he had befriended in childhood.

OMENS FORESHADOWING KURT'S DEATH

Kurt's tragic ending may have been foreshadowed in his Nirvana lyrics.
Here are some of the most troublesome.

  • "Well I swear I don't have a gun. No I don't have a gun."  - "Come As You Are" from album 'Nevermind'
  • "I'm so excited, I can't wait to meet you here." - "Lithium" from album 'Nevermind'                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Kurt said the song was about a guy who decided to find God before he kills himself.
  • "Look on the bright side is suicide" - "Milk It" from album 'In Utero'
  • "Give me a Leonard Cohen after world, so I can sigh eternally" - "Pennyroyal Tea" from album 'In Utero'

The album "In Utero" originally titled "I Hate Myself and Want to Die."
